I Have Been Called Many Names Like Perfectionist, Difficult And Obsessive. I Think It Takes Obsession, Takes Searching For The Details For Any Artist To Be Good.

I'd like to introduce you all to my new obsession...

It's the Anthropologie catalogue and it's full of absolutely gorgeous stuff!

This is an old edition (Autumn 2011, I think) but it was the only one I could find floating around the house.

It's fairly expensive, but if you've shopped in places like The White Collection and some of the higher end stuff in John Lewis it's fairly similar.

It sells clothes, which are beautiful and really good quality, but what I really love are the home items. We got some crockery from there recently and it's really well made and stunning to look at.

I've also just been online to look through their range of throws and cushions... definitely thinking about making a cheeky purchase when I've budgeted for February!

The prices range from a few pounds for things like candles, mugs, etc. and a few clothing items like scarves and that sort of thing, right up to a few hundred for items of furniture, etc. If you like shabby chic or vintage items it's definitely worth a look.

I just love flicking through the catalogues and seeing all the amazing stuff they offer.

They're online, as I say, so if you like the look of it go and check it out!

I've got an essay to finish so going to dash off but just wanted to share this with you. Will post again soon!

There Is No Trouble So Great Or Grave That Cannot Be Much Diminished By A Nice Cup Of Tea. - Bernard-Paul Heroux

So this is my new favourite place in the world to go!

It's called The Olde Young Tea House and it's just so cute! It's set up almost like an old sweet shop with jars of flavoured tea on the shelves, you go up, have a sniff of them, and take the one you fancy up to the counter.
The whole place is decorated with vintage things and everything is mismatched!

They have all kinds of flavours, there's fruity ones like mango and strawberry... and spicy ones like oriental spice... nutty ones like sweet almond... mystical ones like sleeping beauty... and these amazing flower ones that come in a clear teapot, they start off as a bulb and you pop them in the water, then after a couple of minutes they grow in the tea and spread out showing all their petals! We were amazed!

I took so many photos, I'm terrible for it!

Me and a couple of my friends went on Monday, and we couldn't help going again today! We've been talking about it all week. I think we've agreed it's going to become our second home for between and after lectures!

They also sell some gorgeous stuff, including little bags of the teas you like, and some beautiful jewellery like little teapot earrings. Adorable!

Anyway, here we are at the weekend again, thank goodness.
I hope you all have a wonderful time and I'll post again very soon.

Material Things Aside, We Need No Advice But Approval - Coco Chanel.

Here are a few of the things I bought the other day!

The shelves above are in Whittard's of Chelsea which sells all things tea, coffee, hot chocolate - the works! I absolutely ADORE it and can never walk out of there without buying something! This time round it was a beautiful canister of Christmas Coffee which I'm yet to try but looks and smells divine!

I also never go to Dalton Park without leaving with at least 2/3 Yankee Candles... this time I was very good and only bought 2 small ones instead of the big jars I usually get. I got these ones because they're the Christmas Holiday 'Home Sweet Home' ones and aren't available all through the year. They smell gorgeous, as soon as I got home I had to light one, they smell like a mix of cinnamon, orange and something more herby. Just lovely!

I'm absolutely obsessed with writing and never go anywhere without at least one notebook so I bought this 'Her Ladyship's Notebook' one as I thought it was quite apt and really pretty! The pen came with it as well, it's from Past Times and it was reduced from, I think, £8 to £5.60... then I got another 20% off! I can't wait to start using it!

I also took a picture of this Afternoon Tea Treats set I got my mum for Christmas, just because it fits in so well with my new coffee despite being from completely different places!
I hope we can enjoy them both together!

Tomorrow, after Uni, I'm off to the Tea House with the girls so I'll post some pictures of that afterwards. It's so lovely there!

Have A Little Faith There's Magic In The Night, You Aint A Beauty But Hey Youre Alright

I had such a busy full day yesterday. First we had to go to some of the Asian shops in one of the villages to get some fabrics so I took some photos. I love the stuff they sell in there because everything is so bright and beautifully decorated.

We came away with some gorgeous green embroidered material which is covered in green sequin flowers and gold thread. So lovely!

Later we went to the beach front for some lunch and then on to Dalton Park which is a big retail outlet. I bought some lovely stuff which I'll post about after this.

I've started making my way through our classics collection at home. We have about five huge bookshelves around our house and they're all crammed full so I need to get reading!

I picked out 'A Tale of Two Cities' by Charles Dickens because it's one of his that I haven't read yet. I also wanted to refresh my memory on Nicholas Nickleby so I downloaded some iBook apps and audiobooks so I'm currently reading and listening together.

I really recommend this app:
Audiobooks by Spreadsong Inc.
because it gives an amazing range of classics, modern and original audio books completely free. Some of the readers' voices are a little questionable and I do find myself getting the giggles at times but luckily, and unlike other apps I've had, each chapter is read by different people so you don't have to worry about being stuck with that comedy voice and it means the reading doesn't get monotonous.

Anyway I will post straight after this about what I've bought and hopefully some of you will download the app and enjoy it!

With The Wind In My Hair And The Sun On My Face.

I went to Saltburn the other morning to clear my head and got some gorgeous shots of the beach and pier.
I apologise for the watermark but my pictures in the past have turned up on other websites by people trying to pass them off as their own! Cheeky monkeys.

My friend came round yesterday and we made cookies, or rather tried to... they ended up a little more like rock biscuits when we'd finished. But they still tasted good! (kinda.)

I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried a Graze box? A friend told me about it ages ago and I was sent an email for special offers they're doing at the minute. It's like a tiny packed lunch they deliver to you at work or home with four sections in it and a different snack of your choice in each. It looks intriguing but I've never heard from anyone who has actually used it so wondering if it's worth a try. It's meant to be really healthy because you get such little portions but it totally fills you up!

Praise the Lord it is the weekend!

I love Friday nights because they're so stress-free! Better yet, I thought I was going to have to start another uni assignment over the weekend but I actually have a week longer than I thought so rest and relaxation is my plan for the next couple of days.

I think I'm off to the big shopping park tomorrow so will blog about any gorgey things I might buy!

Until then, look after yourselves...

Lots of love, Taz x

Carpe Diem

Evening everyone :)

Just a quick post tonight to blabber about how my week's going. Over the weekend I bought some gorgeous things in the January sales that I'll post about soon. On Saturday me and my mum wanted to go somewhere just to chill for the day and have a natter. We ended up going to Roots which is a farm shop and tea room. It's so cute and they do lovely food.

We had a lovely pot of tea and some butterscotch cake and put the world to rights!

Yesterday I was having a really bad day but saw a couple of friends which really cheered me up. I met my friend's little pygmy hedgehog, Pickle! She was a little bit scared at first and just buried her head away but eventually she came out for some mealworms! The funniest thing was my friend trying to get her out of her bed, every time she went anywhere near her, Pickle huffed like a little timebomb and pricked all her spikes up!

By the evening I was so tired and the whole family were feeling sorry for ourselves so we got the fur throw out on the couch, watched a film and tucked into a big box of chocolates! Naughty naughty!

Today has been entirely uneventful, I've just done an audio script for my uni work. But tomorrow a friend is coming round for cocktails and baking! So expect more pictures.

I also found my camera with all my christmas photos on so will try to do a post about them soon, hopefully some time before June!

Hope you've all had a great day, lots of love, Taz x

Nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity ~ Voltaire

Hi all.
First off, I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has viewed my blog so far. Since last night when I published my first post I've had over 200 page views and a lot of you have been emailing me with tips and tricks for my blogging future!
Anyway I'm going to stop cooing over you all now and get on with my post, but keep getting in touch because it's great to get advice!
Today has been a lovely day! I expected I was going to be in Uni, but my friends told me it was a tutorial week so I got to add another day to my Christmas holiday! Sadly tomorrow is back to reality, boo hiss, but I've had an amazing Christmas and new year and will bore you all with posts about it in the near future!
This afternoon my BFF came round to bake. It's her boyfriends birthday tomorrow (happy 21st Jacob!) and she needed to make "secret brownies"! We ended up making Brownies and Blondies which took a lot longer than expected to make but provided much hilarity!

They're off to a hotel for the night tomorrow so I hope they have a fantastic time... And enjoy the treats we made!
I'm back at Uni tomorrow but hopefully will blog tomorrow night about a few of my Christmas gifts because I was utterly spoilt this year despite not asking for anything.
Keep the ideas and constructive criticism coming and I'll post tomorrow I hope!
Goodnight, lots of love Taz x

Take Me To A Place Where Fairies Exist And No One Tells Me Im Wrong.

Hi everyone. I've decided to make a new blog because I didn't really like my old one. I got a lot of page views but not many comments so I'm taking a new approach to blogging.
Instead of planning out my posts I'll just write them as things happen.
More like a diary of things I do and stuff I buy.

All the photography is my own so please don't use anything without asking, thanks!

To anyone confused by the blog name, Talulah is what my mum has always called me since I was tiny and still cracks it out when she wants me to do something for her (like emptying the dishwasher and other such soul-destroying tasks!) so thought it sounded good.

I hope you enjoy this one!

Lots of love, Taz x
