Don't Choose The Better Man, Choose The Man Who Makes You A Better Woman.

So last week I went to see This Means War at the cinema.

To be honest I went to see it for one reason and one reason alone...

And needless to say, it didn't disappoint.

The story is about two best friends, who happen to be CIA agents, who fall for the same girl.
She doesn't know they're friends and goes about dating both of them, not knowing the other is seeing almost everything that happens and trying to counteract it. It stars Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, Tom Hardy and Chelsea Handler.

There isn't so much as far as story goes (it's no Inception) but I still found it thoroughly entertaining.
It's got a great mix of action and rom-com which I don't think is a base very well covered recently (in my opinion, I could be miles from the truth!).
The stunts are great and there are a few one liners that had me giggling for hours afterwards, but that could be my simple mind!

It was actually really nice to see Tom Hardy in something a bit less intense than the stuff he usually does. He's a fantastic actor and always takes me in but it was good for him to show he can do the more lighthearted, less tortured characters as well as the psychopaths he can so easily portray!

I won't give anything away but she does choose one guy in the end! (I did wonder how they were going to swing it) but *semi-spoiler-alert* it is all happy endings by the credits... kinda!

If you've got a free afternoon and you like an all-round entertaining mix of action, romance and comedy, go and see this. And if not, go see it for this...

If We Open The Door To Superstition, Where Does It Lead?

Hi all.
Just a quick post tonight but had to share my ordeal with you!
Today I went (or rather was FORCED) to go and see 'The Woman in Black'.

For anyone who doesn't know about it, it's a new film adaptation of the story which stars Daniel Radcliffe and Ciaran Hinds.
I was a bit worried about the believability as I'm obviously used to seeing Daniel as Harry Potter but he played it really well and I never thought about the Potter boy (although his wand skills would've come in really handy in my opinion). I really like Ciaran Hinds as well but, other than Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, I had only ever seen him in TV dramas. Both characters were performed well and were really relatable so I did care about what happened to them.

The film itself has been hyped as one of the scariest of our time and I was already terrified before going... And it was all downhill from there.

I think I saw more of the inside of my scarf than I did the actual film. And I think me & Sophie spent more time elbowing each other in panic and trying to contain our nervous laughter!

Obviously I'm not going to give anything away for anyone who wants to see it but the sound effects were probably the scariest thing about it. I really did get chills and it had me screaming!

If you like the tension and adrenaline that goes with horror films then definitely go see this. It has a perfect mix of creepiness and jumpiness and also a bit of in your face horror!

I'm never letting the girls lead me into a film like that again but I did love it I have to admit!

That's all for now, will post again soon.
Lots of love, Taz
